Walking in a pool, also known as ‘aqua jogging’ improves the strength and endurance of runners. All you need is a swimming pool and the desire to use it to improve your performance. How does the pool help you? By not putting any excess weight on your bones and joints, it helps you to maintain muscle strength and joint mobility. In fact, given the buoyancy, it helps to float the body and supports the body. By acting as a resistance to your progress forward, it acts gently to increase muscle strength and in the long run endurance for long-distance walking or running.
